History of WCOM

It was in the summer of 2015, during a leadership seminar class at Drew University, when God brought together two mission-minded leaders. Dr. Joseph Nzketha invited Pastor Philip Anderson to his church, Somerset Miracle Center in Plainfield, NJ. After ministering there and much conversation, they both had a revelation from God regarding international mission.

As a result, they began planning on a mission trip to Kenya for 2016. Dr. Nzeketha and Pastor Anderson learned a lot regarding mission work and put forth a lot of efforts in preparation.

However, God’s timing is always perfect. By 2017, World Compassion Outreach Ministries (WCOM) established medical and educational teams for missions. With the mission teams underway, Bishop Joseph left ahead for Kenya to get ready for the communities to receive the mission teams to come.

By the grace of God, Pastor Anderson led a team of ten missionaries to Kenya for 2 weeks to share God’s light and love. While in Kenya, the mission teams were able to treat over one thousand patients, held a retreat in the mountains with children, and trained about one hundred pastors and leaders in the community.
